If you have any specific learning or physical needs — such as dyslexia, mobility issues, or other considerations — please let us know when booking. We’ll make every reasonable adjustment to ensure full participation and a positive learning experience.
All training venues are accessible for learners with mobility needs — please contact us before the course if you require particular arrangements.
Training, Assessment and Certification
Our courses are taught by an instructor who has both experience in training and emergency care, enabling them to bring a real-world perspective to the course as well as being able to answer any questions students may have about their training.
Our training focuses upon Rapid Cycle Deliberate Practice (RCDP), a learning technique where learners practice a skill repeatedly in short cycles, receiving immediate feedback and making instant corrections before repeating the scenario again — all within the same session. The benefits of this learning include quicker skill improvement; confidence gained from being competent, reducing the likelihood of acquiring bad habits, which is essential in learning lifesaving skills; the technique also encourages leaners to engage in teamwork activities during training.
Learners receive an Attendance Certificate in CPR and AED Use, issued by OJ Training, confirming completion of practical training in basic life support techniques. This certificate is valid for one year, and it is strongly recommended that skills are refreshed annually.
What to Bring and Wear
This course involves hands-on practice, including kneeling and working on the floor. Please wear comfortable, practical clothing suitable for physical activity. If you have concerns about your mobility or physical ability, please contact us before booking so we can make appropriate adjustments.
